Australian cricketer Travis Head has been snubbed by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in its Team of the Tournament selection for the World Cup. Despite his brilliant performance in Australia’s triumphant campaign, Head was beaten to selection by players from South Africa and India. The Team of the Tournament consists of six Indians, two Australians, two South Africans, one New Zealander, and one Sri Lankan. Head’s exclusion comes despite him scoring 137 runs in the final and becoming just the seventh man to score a century in a 50-over World Cup final.
