Two guards at HMP Wandsworth have been suspended following the escape of terror suspect Daniel Khalife, who was arrested on Saturday. Police are investigating whether accomplices helped Khalife avoid detection during a four-day manhunt. The guards in question were responsible for overseeing the security of the food delivery van that Khalife allegedly hid under to leave the prison grounds. In addition, a stabbing incident at the prison has drawn further attention to security concerns at Wandsworth. The Justice Secretary has stated that around 40 inmates have been moved out of the Category B jail as a precautionary measure.
