Troops belonging to Myanmar’s junta killed a member of the People’s Defense Force and two civilians in Sagaing region’s Pale township. The incident occurred after residents of Nyaung Kone village fled ahead of a raid by around 80 soldiers. When some villagers returned, troops arrested and killed three of them. The victims were brutally killed, with their hands cut off and beheaded. Three People’s Defense Force members managed to escape but were injured. The raid was similar to previous attacks by the junta’s Ogre Column. Over 800,000 people have been displaced in Sagaing region due to the ongoing conflict.
