Despite the slim odds, hundreds of car enthusiasts on social media helped track down the stolen car across three provinces. The thief likely knew about the battery kill switch in the engine bay and hot-wired the car. After sharing the stolen car on Facebook, someone in Charlottetown reported seeing it, and it was later found abandoned in Amherst, N.S. Michaud is grateful to have his car back but needs $4,000 to $5,000 in repairs. The thief is still at large.
