A young couple in their 20s accidentally bought a dilapidated Scottish home at an auction, thinking they were bidding on a fixer-upper apartment in Glasgow. Undeterred, they decided to restore the 120-year-old house, called Jameswood Villa, located in Dunoon. Over the course of five years, they documented their renovation journey on their blog and Instagram account, receiving support and materials from the community. With the help of professionals and free labor from volunteers, they successfully completed the project and obtained official clearance for habitation. Their story gained attention, raising funds and amassing a large following on social media.
