The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) is set to convene its 78th session in New York this month, with world leaders gathering to address global challenges and discuss progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The UNGA will feature the annual General Debate, during which representatives from all 193 Member States will present and explore solutions to global challenges. The centrepiece of the high-level week will be the SDG Summit, where heads of state and government will provide political leadership on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. Other key events include the Climate Ambition Summit and meetings on pandemic preparedness, universal healthcare, financing for development, and tuberculosis.
