The Demons will bring in young forward Sam Weideman, who decided against moving to Collingwood last year to instead back himself with the Demons.Brown has been in sparkling form in the early season after his critical role helping Demons win the premiership over the Western Bulldogs.Brown has kicked 5.3 so far this year for the Demons, but with the full forward missing out this week Mitch Brown will come into the squad after seven VFL goals last week.The Demons are hopeful Jake Lever will play next Thursday as he recovers from snapped plantar fascia. He trained strongly on Thursday and while he might come up several days short of the clash against Port Adelaide the Demons are encouraged that he is on track for a return at worst by Round 5.Essendon is desperate to avoid their first 0-3 start in 55 seasons with Devon Smith dropped and Zach Merrett out for several months after syndesmosis surgery.
