Collingwood will travel to the Gabba to play their postponed qualifying final on Sunday with the two preliminary finals pushed to the weekend of April 2 and 3 – which was initially set aside as grand final weekend. The grand final will now be played on the afternoon of Saturday, April 9. Women’s league boss Nicole Livingstone said it was a call made to create certainty in coming weeks. “We are pleased to be able to provide certainty to the W community and confirm the arrangements for the qualifying final, the preliminary finals and the AFLW grand final,” she said. “The health and safety of everyone in the competition remains the highest priority – we have worked closely with Collingwood on the return to play for their program and with the Lions from a fixturing perspective.
