Balanced News: SC Raps Delhi Govt Over Non-Sanction of Funds For Rapid Rail Project, Threatens To Attach Ad Budget

The Supreme Court has criticized the Delhi government for not releasing funds for the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project. Justice Kaul threatened to attach the government’s advertising budget if they did not comply. The court directed that the funds meant for advertisement be transferred to the RRTS project but gave the government one week to do so. If the funds are not transferred within that time, the court’s order will be enforced.
