Rugby star Kurtley Beale is facing trial for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman at a pub in eastern Sydney. The incidents are said to have occurred in late 2022 at the Beach Road Hotel near Bondi Beach. Beale, who has played for the Wallabies and Waratahs, has pleaded not guilty to one count of sexual intercourse without consent and two counts of sexual touching. The trial is expected to last for two weeks, with a jury set to be empanelled at Sydney’s Downing Centre District Court. Beale has made 95 appearances for Australia and has also played for English and French clubs.
