The sixth edition of the Paris Peace Forum has begun, focusing on global challenges such as climate change and migration. The forum also provided a platform to discuss the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in development, particularly in Africa. Despite challenges of high connectivity costs and low internet penetration, experts highlighted the need to adopt AI now and raise awareness of its positive aspects. While AI has the potential to transform Africa, particularly in health and agriculture, there is still a long way to go in reaching remote villages. Striking a balance between technological innovation and responsibility is crucial.
