Mark Nawaqanitawase, a rugby star, has denied that his move from union to league is out of spite. He will leave the Wallabies and the NSW Waratahs to join the Sydney Roosters in the NRL once his current contract expires in 2024. Nawaqanitawase sees the move as a great opportunity and is not participating in a code war. He will not be available for the Wallabies’ 2025 British & Irish Lions tour but may consider a return for the 2027 Rugby World Cup. He is excited about his forthcoming deal with the Roosters and may have a lengthy stay in the NRL.
