Barrino, who plays the central character Celie, reveals that she has not yet had a chance to talk to Whoopi Goldberg, who portrayed Celie in Spielberg’s film. Brooks, who plays Sofia, talks about the pressure of taking on Oprah Winfrey’s role. The new movie, directed by Blitz Bazawule, is set to release in U.S. theaters on December 25th.
