Four civilians were killed by junta troops in Myanmar during a mass arrest in Tanintharyi region’s Palaw township. Around 130 villagers were seized in a raid on Let Ku village, and they have not been released. Residents reported that troops killed four villagers and another man died in a heavy artillery attack. The junta spokesperson did not respond to requests for comment. The conflict between junta troops and a local People’s Defense Force has led to the displacement of over 75,000 people in Tanintharyi region since the military coup in February 2021.
