A guerrilla group in Myanmar, called the Urban Owls, has claimed responsibility for shooting a man accused of working with the ruling junta in the head in central Yangon. The man, Nyan Lwin Aung, was targeted for his close relationships with military leaders and his role in buying weapons for the junta. He was shot at an intersection in Latha township and is in critical condition at Yangon General Hospital. The Urban Owls have previously claimed responsibility for the killings of other individuals affiliated with the junta.
