Balanced News: Large fire at Oreti Beach contained

A vegetation fire at Oreti Beach in Invercargill has been contained by fire crews. The fire, which started at the end of Dunns Road, was fought by 25 firefighters and two helicopters. The blaze spanned nearly 300 meters of land, but crews were able to prevent it from crossing a road and endangering homes. No evacuations were necessary from nearby properties.
