Migrants waiting to enter the US from Matamoros, a town on the other side of the border from Brownsville, Texas, are facing long waits and danger, according to an NPR report. Migrants are trying to get answers on what the rules are for entry and are trying to make appointments through the CBP One app to make their case for asylum. The appointments are limited and supply doesn’t meet demand. Reports of kidnapping, extortion and sexual assault are becoming more common as migrants wait for their chance to enter the US.
