A man in Ireland, Declan Haughney, and his friend, Gareth Coakley, were caught on CCTV dragging Haughney’s uncle, Peadar Doyle, to a post office to collect his pension. When confronted by an onlooker, Haughney claimed his uncle was fine. However, the police arrived and pronounced Doyle dead at the scene. During Haughney’s sentencing, it was revealed that the exact time of death could not be determined. Family members believe Doyle may have still been alive when Haughney took him out of the house. Haughney was sentenced to two years in jail but was released after one week due to time served and remission.
