The gunman responsible for a shooting in Western Australia, Lachlan Bowles, had a gun license despite being rejected from joining the police and military. Bowles died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after shooting and killing Terry Czernowski, a local father and active member of the Defense Force. Bowles attempted to shoot another person, Rob Linto, but missed. Linto’s escape led police to Bowles, who was dressed in camouflage with a swastika on his arm and waving a Nazi flag. Czernowski was known for standing up to bullies and was described as hardworking and generous.
