Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for an international cricket stadium in Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency. The stadium, with a capacity of 30,000, is expected to be ready by December 2025 and will be dedicated to Lord Shiva. The unique design of the stadium will include a spectators’ gallery resembling the steps of the ghats of Varanasi, lights shaped like a trident, and a roof shaped like a crescent moon.
