Ex-tropical cyclone Kirrily has weakened to a tropical low but is still causing heavy rainfall and possible damaging winds in North Queensland. The Bureau of Meteorology warns of dangerous flash flooding between Winton, Richmond, and Cloncurry, with rainfall totals of up to 180mm possible. The weather system is moving towards the Northern Territory border. Heavy rainfall is already occurring in some areas, and Townsville is experiencing the aftermath of the storm with power outages and damage to trees and power lines. Fortunately, there have been no reported deaths or missing persons connected to the storm.
