An Australian bank has apologised after confidential personal information belonging to its customers was found dumped in a Perth suburb. The data breach includes names, addresses, and even account numbers. Legal experts warn the financial institution could face a multimillion-dollar fine. Scott Collins was passing by Armadale Shopping Centre, in Perth’s eastern suburbs, when he spotted the confidential ANZ documents dumped in a skip bin. Blycha said the bank needed to now tell the affected customers what had happened.
