The cold wave in Kashmir intensified as the minimum temperature dropped below freezing point. Dense fog disrupted flight operations at the Srinagar international airport, causing delays in morning flights. Shopian was the coldest recorded place in the valley with a minimum temperature of -3.9 degrees Celsius. Other places like Srinagar city, Qazigund, Gulmarg, Pahalgam, and Pulwama also experienced extremely low temperatures. The drop in temperature led to calls for the closure of schools for lower classes.
