Shelling in Sudan’s Darfur region has reportedly killed five entire families, resulting in the deaths of 39 civilians, mostly women and children. The conflict between the Sudanese army and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has escalated, with violence also erupting in the capital city of Khartoum. Sudan’s army chief, Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, made his first trip abroad since the war began in April to discuss the situation with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. The war has spread across multiple regions, causing thousands of deaths and displacing millions of people.
