Over the Labour Day weekend, there have been several fatal accidents on New Zealand’s roads. One person died after being hit by a vehicle in Waipapa, Northland, while another motorcyclist died in a crash with a car in Taihape. Two people were critically injured in a single vehicle crash in Hamilton, and earlier in the week, two people died in separate crashes in Whanganui and Waipu. Additionally, a light aircraft crashed in Blenheim, resulting in the death of the sole occupant. Last year, five fatalities were recorded during the Labour Day weekend.
