A border collie named Molly has recovered from a “devastating” dog attack that left her throat “ripped open”. The attack occurred when two German Shepherds entered her owner’s property in New Zealand. Molly required two surgeries and approximately 50 stitches. Her owner, Paul Gibbs, was also bitten when he tried to stop the owner of the German Shepherds from leaving his property. The incident has been reported to the Western Bay of Plenty District Council, and an investigation is ongoing. Molly’s temperament has returned to normal, although she remains wary of other dogs during vet visits.
