The Royal Canadian Mint will unveil the first Canadian coins featuring the image of King Charles on his 75th birthday. The design by Canadian artist Steven Rosati was chosen from over 350 submissions and approved by Buckingham Palace. The coins will replace the image of the late Queen Elizabeth II on one side. The Bank of Canada is also in the process of designing a new $20 bill featuring King Charles, but it will likely take years before it is issued. The new coins will first circulate in early December and all coins with the queen will still be considered legal tender.
